MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. (June 26, 2018) – The partners of Judelson, Giordano & Siegel elected to promote two seasoned staff members in the latter weeks of June. Kimian Adams rose to senior accountant and Christian Coburn rose to manager. The promotions were effective as of July 1.
Gary Cassiello, a partner at JGS, expressed his excitement about the news and spoke on behalf of both employees.
“With all the good things that her clients and fellow employees say about her, we are happy to announce Kimian’s promotion to senior accountant. We are excited that she will assume even more in the way of client responsibilities and we look forward to working with her in her new role,” he said. “And Christian’s promotion is well deserved! Christian has shown himself to be a leader within our organization and the firm is happy to recognize his efforts in promoting him to manager.”
Kimian Adams, formerly a staff accountant for JGS, has been working in accounting for over nine years since graduating from Florida Memorial University and completing her Master of Business Administration at Keller Graduate School of Management. Adams has been with JGS since 2013 and resides in the town of Wallkill, New York with her family.
“I am extremely grateful that my hard work has been recognized and look forward to continued growth and success at JGS,” she said.
The promotion granted her increased oversight of financial statement preparation. She will continue planning and preparing corporate and individual tax returns, performing judicial accounting and working on estates and trusts. Recently, she graduated from the Leadership Orange Class of 2018, and joined the board of the Town of Wallkill Boys & Girls Club.
Christian Coburn holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from the University of Scranton where he graduated magna cum laude in 2007. He began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP serving large, multi-national financial institutions, predominantly in the performance of audits of SEC filers and their subsidiaries in the life insurance sector. Following an eight year tenure at PwC, Coburn joined JGS in January 2015. As manager, he will be heading up the auditing responsibilities for the firm as well as assuming increased seniority over other consulting and tax services at JGS.
“It’s an incredible opportunity, and I am grateful JGS has decided my efforts are worthy of reward. I am honored by the trust this company has shown towards me and am excited about the direction myself and this company are headed,” he said.
Earlier this month, Coburn and Cassiello presented to a group of soon-to-be high school seniors, giving them a detailed look into the field of forensic accounting, with a primary focus on detecting and handling fraudulent activities.
